Tartu: Biographic database is a database of articles containing records about people related to Tartu and their activities. The database is compiled on the basis of periodicals and collections published in Estonia. The database is updated daily, the earliest article records date back to the 1960s. The database offers selected full text links.

Z39.50 is a standard international client-server, an application layer for searching and pulling data from the database. The search can be carried out in UTF-8 and MARC-8 encoding.

The standard does not support the download of all online catalogue records at one time.
